Anderson TOC - Earliest ancestors are John Anderson born about 1680 of either Scottish or "Scotch-Irish" descent and Rebecca Waite (Waight) born 1680 and died 1714. Rebecca's paternal grandfather was Richard Waite, born 1608 in England. Her maternal grandfather was Richard Woodward born 1589 in Ipswich, England. The Waites and Woodwards settled in the Watertown and Weston areas of Massachusetts. John's son Arbaham migrated to Windham, Maine where he was the fifth settler in 1740. Farrington TOC - Our earliest positively identified ancestors are Thomas Sewall Farrington born about March 1768, died 1853, and Content Leonard died 1864. Family records indicate that our Farringtons emmigrated from Buckinghamshire, Olney, England to Lynn, MA in 1635, then to Dedham, MA then to Maine. Probable ancestors are Edmund and Elizabeth (Newhall) Farrington. The Farrington Index uses an html table, 41KB in size, to list 145 Farringtons and their spouses.
Flynn - Earliest ancestors are John Joseph Flynn born 1859 in Waterford County, Ireland died 1943 in Waltham, MA. and Margaret Doherty born 1860 and died 1944. John emmigrated to Waltham, MA about 1878. Many of the Flynn/Doherty descendants now live in the Waltham, MA and surrounding areas. Mansfield - Earliest ancestors are Robert Mansfield born about 1594 and died 1666 in Lynn, MA. and Elizabeth (unknown but perhaps Townsend) born about 1586 and died 1673 in Lynn, MA. Most of the descendants included at this site migrated to locations in Maine including Chebeague Island and Jonesport. Within the Mansfield line are many marriages to the Carvers who descended from Robert Carver born about 1594 in England. Mayberry - Earliest ancestors are William and Elizabeth Dennis Mayberry who immigrated from Ballemoney, Antrim, Ireland during the early 1730s to Marblehead, Massachusetts. William and Elizabeth then migrated north to become the second settlers of Windham, Maine sometime between 1737 and 1740. Their grand daughter married Edward Anderson, son of Abraham Anderson, the fifth settler of Windham, Maine. Meehan - Earliest ancestors are John Meehan and Bridget ? both born about 1800 in Ireland. The family immigrated to Quebec before 1839 and on to the US about 1891. The Meehan Index uses an html table, 8KB in size, to list 28 Meehans and their spouses.
Rooney - Earliest ancestors are William Rooney and Maria Kennedy born in Ireland. The Rooney Index uses an html table, 4KB in size, to list 11 Rooneys and their spouses.
