MANSFIELD, ANDREW, Lynn 1639, had been at Boston 1636, came from Exeter, in Devon, it is said, bring s. Andrew b. 1630; and I suppose, w. Eliz. d. of Rev. William Walton, wh. d. 8 Sept. 1673, aged above 80 yrs. by wh. prob. he had other ch. as, perhaps, ea. of these foll. Joseph; John, wh. d. 16 Oct. 1671; Robert, wh. d. 16 Dec. 1666; Samuel; and Eliz. This last m. 10 June 1675, Joshua Witt; and he d. 1692, in 94th yr. The will of his w. of 20 Apr. 1667, pro. 26 Nov. 1673, is abstract, in Essex Inst. Hist. Coll. II. 125. *ANDREW, Lynn, s. of the proced. b. in Eng. was rep. 1680-3, Lewis says; by w. Bethia had Bethia, b. 7 Apr. 1658, d. at 14 yrs; Mary, 7 Mar. 1660, d. next yr.; Lydia, 15 Aug. 1662; Deborah, 1 Jan. 1667; and Daniel, 9 June 1669. He had sec. w. 4 June 1673, Mary, wid. of John Neale, d. of Francis Lawes, wh. d. 27 June 1681 ; and he m. 10 Jan. 1682, Eliz. Conant. ANDREW, Lynn, freem. 1691, may have been s. of the proced. or of Robert. DANIEL, Lynn, s. of the sec. Andrew, was freem. 1691. EBENEZER, New Haven, s. of Joseph, m. 20 Apr. 1710, Hannah Bassett, but Mr. Portor names no issue. JAPHET, New Haven, youngest s. of Joseph, m. 14 Jan. 1703, Hannah Bradlee. JOHN, Boston, s. of Sir John, came in the Regard, 1634, sent out by charity, with his fam. as Winth. I. 150, tells. His wid. mo. d. that yr. in London, at the ho. of Robert Keayne, whose w. was a d. and Eliz. the w. of Rev. John Wilson was ano. but he seems to have done little here besides worrying his brs. Wilson and Keayne, in the will of the last, most curious details being relat. for wh. see Geneal. Reg. VI. 156. Yet K. gave something to the two ch. and their f. seems to have held on a long time, dying in Charlestown, 1674. JOHN, Lancaster, s. of the proced. bec. a propr. in 1654, had 500 acres giv. by his Aunt Ann Keayne, as Rev. John Wilson of Medfield testif. 11 Feb. 1675. JOHN, Lynn, perhaps younger br. of the first Andrew, came in the Susan and Ellen, from London, 1635, aged 34, may be the one wh. d. 1671, above designa. as perhaps s. of Andrew. JOHN, Charleston 1658. JOHN, Hingham, freem. 1684, in his will of 19 Feb. 1689, pro. 20 Aug. foll. names only w. Eliz. was, perhaps, d. of Joseph Farnsworth of Dorchester, and two ch. Mary, and John, b. 15 Nov. 1656, wh. had m. Sarah Neal. JOHN, Windsor, m. 13 Dec. 1683, Sarah, d. of Samuel Phelps, had John, b. 13 Sept. 1684, d. at 6 yrs.; Sarah, 5 Jan. 1686; Samuel, 16 Sept. 1687; Mary, 16 Aug. 1689, and perhaps more. JONATHAN, New Haven, youngest ch. of Moses the first, m. 1 June 1708, Hannah, d. of the sec. John Alling, had a fam. but their names are unkn. JOSEPH, Lynn, s. of the first Andrew, prob. b. in England. by w. Eliz had Joseph, b. 20 Mar. 1661, and may have had other ch. earlier. She d. 25 Feb. 1662; and he was call. sen. as Felt notes from the rec. when his d. Deborah d. 14 Feb. 1678. JOSEPH, New Haven, s. of Richard, prob. b. in Eng. had Mary, b. 6 Apr. 1658; Martha, 18 Apr. 1660; and Mercy, 26 July 1662; Silence, 24 Oct. 1664; Eliz. 20 Sept. 1666; Comfort, 6 Dec. 1668; John, 8 Apr. 1671, d. at 19 yrs; Joseph, 27 Nov. 1673; Ebenezer, 6 Feb. 1678; and Japhet, 8 July 1681; and d. 15 Nov. 1692. His wid. Mary d. 1701. is in the list of freem. 1669, and propr. in 1685; in the index of Trumbull, Col. Rec. II. is nam. incorrect, wh. is seldom seen. JOSEPH, Lynn, s. of the first Joseph, m. 1 Apr. 1678, Eliz. d. of Issac Williams of Salem, had Eliz. b. 6 Feb. 1679; tw. b. 25 Oct. 1680, d. soon; Joseph, 18 Aug. 1681; and Sarah, 22 Jan. 1684; freem. 1691. *MOSES, New Haven, s. of Richard, b. in Eng. was a very valua. man in town business 1673, lieut. and capt. in the Ind. war, rep. 1676 and 7, a propr. in 1685, m. 10 May 1664, Mercy, d. of John Glover, had Abigail, b. 7 Feb. 1665; Mercy, 2 Apr. 1667; Hannah, 14 Mar. 1669; Samuel, 31 Dec. 1671, H.C. 1690, wh. kept the gr. school at New Haven some yrs bec. a merch. and d. 1701, perhaps bef. his f. perhaps Moses, 15 Aug. 1674; Sarah, 14 June 1677; Richard, 20 July 1680, d. at 1 yr.; Bathshua, 1 Jan. 1683; and Jonathan, 15 Feb. 1686. He m. sec. w. 8 Nov. 1702, Margaret Prout, and his third w. Abigail, d. of the first Thomas Yale, and d. 3 Oct. 1703. His wid. d. 28 Feb. 1708. MOSES, New Haven, s. of the proced. was a mariner, had a fam. Mr. Porter tells me, but gives no names. PAUL, Salem, sign. the petitn. against imports 1668, by w. Damaris he had Damaris, b. 12 Aug. 1658; Ruth, 4 Nov. 1662; Paul, 4 Aug. 1664; Elias, 29 Mar. 1667, wh. d. in 4 mos.; Abigail, 28 June 1668; and Rebecca, 5 Mar. 1674. RICHARD, New Haven 1643, perhaps earlier, d. 10 Jan. 1655, leav. wid. Gilian, wh. m. Alexander Field, and ch. Moses, and Joseph, bef. ment. ROBERT, Lynn 1642, may have been s. of the first Andrew, or more prob. his br. b. in Eng. wh. d. 1666. SAMUEL, Lynn, perhaps s. of the first Andrew, m. 3 Mar. 1674, Sarah Barsham, had Andrew, b. 4 Jan. 1675; Sarah, 6 Nov. 1676; and Bethia, 13 Mar. 1679; and he d. 10 Apr. foll. *SAMUEL, Springfield, rep. 1680, 3, and 4. THOMAS, Lynn 1642. One of this fam. name came in the Regard 1634, who was from Exeter, Eng. and was not found to be a desirab. inhab. as ment. by Winth. I. 150. In 1834 four had been gr. at Harv. six at Yale, and one at Amherst. coll.
