Lee10 was a Jonesport merchant, working in his father's store. In a l907 issue of the Moosabec Messenger he had an advertisment listing himself as a life insurance agent. From friends who knew him, we find that he also was a talented muscian, playing in the local bands. His wife , Gertrude, played the organ at the Sawyer Memorial Congregational Church for many years. Their son, Kenneth, tells about his task, as a young boy, of having to "pump the church organ" while his mother played. A 1910 Jonesport census lists Lee10 as 39, Gertrude as 40, m'd 17 yrs., William11 as 11 and Kenneth11 as 2/12. Lee10 shown as a clerk at a grocery store.

We have a copy of an original letter signed 14 March 1893, by C. H. Mansfield, Jonesport Town Clerk, requesting L. E. Mansfield, a Constable of the Town of Jonesport, to preform the act of summoning two certain people in Jonesport, named as School Committee and Surveyor members, for the "Oath of Office". On the reverse of this letter, L. E. Mansfield advises on the 15th of March, 1893 that he has requested these people to appear as directed.
