John Knight, son of John and Elizabeth (Vincent) Knight, was baptized at Romsey, Hampshire, 14 May 1626, died at Newbury MA 7 Feb. 1677 or 25 Feb. 1678, 56y; married in 1647 Bathsheba Ingersoll, born at Salem MA about 1630, died at Newbury 25 Oct.1705, c75y, daughter of Richard and Agnes (Langlye) Ingersoll.
He came to Newbury with his father as a boy. He served as constable in 1654, was made a freeman in 1671, and in 1669 was ensign of the Newbury militia.
