1 John1 Meehan was born circa 1765 Ireland.[1],[i]  He married Bridget White circa 1790.[2]  He died on 27 Oct 1838 Cap-Sante, Co. Portneuf, Quebec.[3],[ii]  He was buried on 29 Oct 1838 Ste Famille, Cap Sante, Portneuf, Canada.[iii]

     He was an Irishman and a farmer.[iv]  He emigrated on 19 Jun 1821 from Belfast, Ireland.[4]  He immigrated on 21 Aug 1821 to QC, Canada.[5]  He left a will on 9 Oct 1838 Cap Sante, Portneuf, QC, Canada.[6],[v]  He was Roman Catholic Christian.[vi]

     Children of John1 Meehan and Bridget White were as follows:

                                i.    Patrick2 was born circa 1792 Ireland.[7]

                                ii.    Nicholas was born Ireland.

                     2.       iii.    John, b. circa 1798 Ireland; m. Elizabeth Forestal; m. Elizabeth Newbury; d. 2 Nov 1889; bur. 4 Nov 1889 St Basile, Portneuf, QC, Canada.

                     3.       iv.    James, b. circa 1804 Ireland; m. Rachel White; d. 13 Dec 1878 Notre Dame de Portneuf, Canada; bur.  Notre Dame de Sept D'Ouleurs, Portneuf, PQ.

                     4.       v.    Helene, b. circa 1811 Ireland; m. Denys Kenny; d. 15 Aug 1852 Cap-Sante, Portneuf, Canada; bur. 17 Aug 1852 Ste. Famille, Cap Sante, Portneuf, Quebec.

                               vi.    Margaret[vii],[viii],[ix] was born circa 1817.[x]  She married William Wilson in 1837.[xi]

                     5.      vii.    Bridget, b. 1821 Ireland; m. Patrick Poor.

[4]They departed June 19th_from Belfast on the Brig Union, with Master Nicholson and 138 passengers.
