Eliza3 Ann (Farrington) and Peter McDougall

The source for the following information is a document provided to Eva Farrington Cary in July of 1938 by Colonel Robert Arthur titled Farrington Genealogy.

Eliza3 Ann Farrington (Serenus2, Thomas1 Sewall) b. June 2, 1825, at Vassalboro, Kennebec Cty., Me., d. Jan, 1916 at Carmen, Okla. and b'd there. She m'd May 18, 1852 by Silas Palmer, Esq., at Green Lake, Green Lake Cty., Wisc., Peter McDougall, b. Dec 20, 1822, in N.Y. and d. May 20, 1914 at Carmen, Okla. and b'd there.

They had children:

  1. Ella4 Gretrude McDougall b. May 18, 1853, m'd David Alexander Watrous
  2. Alvah4 Franklin McDougall b. Sept 24, 1854, m'd Mary Susan Pratt
  3. Edwin4 Serenus McDougall b. Jan 23, 1860, m'd Alice Condon
  4. Clara4 Frances McDougall b. Oct 3, 1861 m'd John Watson Arthur

In 1865 Eliza3 Ann and her husband removed to Minnesota where they took up a farm near Owatonna. About 1893, they followed their daughter, Ella4 Gertrude to Missouri, after shipping a carload of household goods. They settled at Bolivar, Mo. but in 1900 or 1901 they removed to Carmen, Okla. to make their home there.
