Edward5 Augustus Anderson (Thomas4 Edward3 Abraham2 John1) (b 3 Sept 1830 @ Portland, d 27 Oct 1913, b'd Pine Grove Cem., Portland) m'd 5 Nov 1852/4 by Rev C.H. Cressey, Mary Boody Procter (b 18 May 1834 d 26 May 1886/96 b'd Pine Grove Cem., Portland) dau of Richard and Jane (Berry) Procter. In the Anderson records we find (as mentioned before) that Edward5 Augustus Anderson was reared from boyhood by a cousin of his deceased father. This would have been Edward4 (son of Abraham3 Jr.) and his wife Louisa (Berry) Anderson. Edward5 Augustus Anderson must have been about 10 years old when he went to live at the Parson Smith House and was about three years older than the eldest child in his new home, namely Olive5 Frances (b 1833 d 1915), Susan5 Watson (b 1835 d 1888), and Lucy5 Smith (b 1845 d 1918). It seems the Edward5 Augustus continued to live at the Parson Smith House after he was married to Mary Boody Procter and that all but possibly their last children were born there. A granddaughter, Doris7 (Ingersoll) Smith has stated that her grandmother, Mary Boody Procter, was living there during her grandfathers, term of service in the Civil War.
