Abraham2 Anderson (John1) b 18 Aug 1708 @ Watertown, MA d 25 Dec 1768 @ Windham, Me., age 63 according to his gravestone found at the Anderson cemetery on River Road, Windham, Maine. There is a discrepancy here as the books "Genealogy of Watertown, Ma." and "History of Norway, Me." both have his birth date as 18 Aug 1708. The book "Windham in the Past" uses the headstone date, suggesting that Abraham2 was born in 1705, but this date is before the marriage date of his parents, which shows in the former two books as 16 July 1706. Several sources including Bond's Watertown list the birth date as 18 Aug 1708. Since it is unlikely that another child could be born seven months after Abraham, we use the 1708 date. We assumed the Watertwon, MA VR listing of 18 Aug 1709 is incorrect.

Abraham2 m'd for his first wife, Bathshica (or Bethshua) Farr (b 13 May 1709 d 4 July 1751 @ Windham) dau of John & Hannah (Applin) Farr. Abraham2 m'd (intentions posted 30 Dec 1752 re N.E. Hist. & Gen. Regt. Vol 14 page 227) for his second wife Mrs. Anna (Collins) Cloutman (b 16 Jan 1716 @ Philadelphia d 1 Dec 1802 age 85 @ Windham, b'd Anderson [now Hunnewell] Cemetery, River Road, with her husband) From the "History of Cumberland County" we learn that Mrs. Cloutman was the widow of Edward Cloutman, who had been taken prisoner by the Indians in their attack on Gorham, Me., 19 April 1746. Edward Cloutman was drowned on the shores of Lake Champlain, along with a Mr. Dunbar, while attempting to escape from captivity, the next year after capture. As noted, "Abraham2 and Anna's remains are interred in the now neglected burial grounds on the River Road farm area, they had cleared. Here, old fashion and badly shattered headstones record their names and death." (From "Windham in the Past" by Dole)
